>Nova Scotia BANS everyone from GOING INTO FORESTS
then
>Decides to spray 3,577 acres with GLYPHOSATE a chemical that kills vegetation and insects.
Why it’s controversial:
>Environmental concerns:
It can reduce biodiversity in forests and farmland by wiping out non-target plants, affecting insects and animals that rely on them.
>Health debate:
Most regulatory agencies (like Health Canada, EPA in the U.S., EFSA in Europe) say glyphosate is safe when used correctly. However, the World Health Organization’s cancer research arm (IARC) classified it as “probably carcinogenic to humans” in 2015, fueling global controversy.
>Wildfire concern
(specific to Nova Scotia): Spraying kills vegetation, which then dries out, potentially making forests more flammable.
This country is so fucking stupid and this government needs to be replaced immediately before they kill us all. They're spraying this in BC too.
