the appeal of world pet-raising games is that your digibuddy feels and behaves like a pet (e.g. trains, gets happy/angry/sad, smiles, celebrates, goes to sleep, eats, etc.). the variety of combat animations is more varied (e.g. lunges, punching, kicking, blowing breath, strafing and moving backward, hopping, throwing projectiles, auras, etc.)
as such, world games are more labor-intensive than story RPGs, so if you ask for 450+ mons you're gonna get cardboard props T-posing menacingly
