Sounds like that's an actual medical problem. Incontinence doesn't just start on it's own, but something underlying can cause it. I'd go to a doctor and have them take a look at it (get a referral to a urologist?). Could be something quite serious. If it's not, and you're fine with becoming fully incontinent, then go for it.
They'll add incontinence to your medical file, meaning insurance should cover at least part of the cost of diapers (depending on the specifics of your policy).
