Curly was a decent boss, but him unwilling to take immediate action when Anya needed it the most and confronting Jimmy about the whole thing was his big fuck up. He's not a bad guy especially after paying the price to save the crew whether it did ultimately prove useless in the end.

Jimmy's lust for control is what really fucks everyone over. Him letting Daisuke go in the vents, him shooting Swansea because he believed him to be an obstacle and of course because he'd thought he would kill him if he ever found the truth. Anya overdosing herself (granted Curly definitely added to that after telling the crew they would all be laid off)

I also feel like Jimmy wanted to be this massive hero figure and be the one that "Saves the day" which leads to that dumbass ending I genuinely believed he forgot to turn the pod on before he shot himself and left Curly to die a slow death
