Yes there are French aspects to Canadian cuisine because the French settled this country too and were conquered and then graciously allowed to stay living here in Canada with their own land because Anglo Canadian understood that even tho they are French they're still white old stock settlers. Just not warrior settlers like the English. This is why we have quiche :)
