>In AAA western gamkes about black women? Afro. It's their go to for brownie points and woke cred
>in the past several years of AAA releases with black characters that are female, so many of them have giant fucking afros?
You're implying quite a lot! So much so, that you make these broad generalizations. But what do I see here before me? Not many at all.

Yeah, and according Wiki, Gamergate was a harassment campaign. Great credentials there.
You sound like you come from a part of the world that doesn't have any black people in it. So you just make your best guess at black people issues from things you see online. Well look at pic related. Multiple black people making the distinction between "afro" and "curls" or "coils" as they're sometimes called.

The Redfall style is distinct. You can argue semantics all you want. But it's a distinct texture and pattern that's different from the classical depiction of an afro.
The real women you posted has hair that transitions from puffy nearer to the roots, to curly nearer to the ends. So it's kind of a mix with her. That might come naturally. Maybe she wet her hair, and it's still drying out. Or maybe the ends of her hair received more product than the roots. Or maybe her hair just naturally grows like that. Because there are different levels to curls, one might naturally have curly hair. which is more common among light skinned black. Which is why light skins tend to go with the curly look, since they don't have to try hard to get it. Or they might just have it naturally.

I say all that to say this: the redfall character's hair is fully curly down to her roots. There isn't a puff in sight. So it's not an afro.
