I've got some old screencaps talking about it. What happened was after Project Chanalogy the glowniggers tried to subvert, target, and destroy Anonymous. This ended up backfiring on them so catastrophically that a militant anonymous think tank released proof of Decentralized Leaderless Resistance proven it wasn't just a theory but entirely doable. They had it released by the early 10s and was spreading wildly in the right place. Back then it was treated as one of the mandatory MUST READS of /pol/ and other places.

I can't for the life of me remember what's it called but here is what happened. A key component REQUIRED to make AND maintain nukes was lost and they don't know how to remake it. For a while, they kept it covered up because they still had spare parts but one day they ran out of spare parts and thus could no longer keep it a secret. Don't forget power supply and water pumps/sewage. You can buy shitty little beads for super cheap that if used with FUBAR sewage and water. Take out a few power supply weak spots and a city will burn to the ground as the globohomo gets paralyzed within and endless riots form. Fly a few drones around an airport or shoot something into take off spot. The entire airport shut down for at least a week. In the north, you have even more hardcore methods. All freely and easily available in Minecraft.

The thing about such complex globalized interconnected systems it is SUPER fucking fragile. There is simply zero redundancy. In the past, brute force was more useful but we have long passed that point. Now sabotage can cause the kind of damage that ancient armies could only DREAM of. All without a single fight or risk of getting caught. The worst part is you hardly need anyone to accomplish it. Even a single lone wolf can cause crippling amount of damage. A single cell can take down entire cities and regions with ease. A few score of men at most and you can bring a nation to its very knees.

The future of resistance isn't violence. It's sabotage. To inflict so much damage and losses without the ability to defend against it, you simply forfeit by default. Violence will be limited to personal/familial harm(like getting drafted) and very specific targeting(a certain list of names/orgs). Violence simply cannot inflict the kind of losses and damage that a simple sabotage can. All the while with a tiny fraction of the heat and risk while causing vastly disportionate amount of damage, wasted manpower hours, resources, time and other losses. The greatest kicker is there is simply nothing you can do to stop it because the systems have become far too well known, widespread, vulnerable, and easily exploited to ever stop. So they pray nobody notices this and that they fall for the bait to do nothing or mass violence.
