1. Destruction started taking place with little warning or public notice.
2. The only warning mis-represented the final design as something else.
3. Doing it with donor money means a significant portion of the White House, the most important and historic building in our nation, was directly bought by unelected rich private interests.
4. It is extremely difficult to prove that private funding is not bribery or quid pro quo. At the very least, private investors have now directly staked a claim on a historic landmark.
5. If it's genuinely not a bribe nor quid pro quo, it's still altering maybe the most important and historic building in the country, which should be carefully considered publicly and not planned behind closed doors.
6. The fact that Trump decided on the design is unnerving. Trump was not elected for his eye for beauty (gauldy golden globs). He was elected as a hand grenade. People are rightfully nervous about the intended outcome.
It's not hard to understand why **nornal people** (not just TDS retards) are upset about this.
