I think that's just how stuff works in general, not really a girl thing or a streamer thing. Think about how many people love a band's old albums but don't like the new stuff, or like the early seasons of a show like the Simpsons but say it fell off hard in later seasons. If you're into something that's small and niche, when it grows larger and appeals to a wider audience it tends to lose some of the niche aspects that drew you to it on the first place.
