The A camp think of the experiment as an object being surrounded by air. In A, the object is independent and could only be moved only by direct outside forces and the forces of gravity.
The B camp think of the scenario as being in a dimension of water, where solid objects are constantly influenced by the space surrounding it. In B, the object is intrinsically "combined" with the space around it, and therefore moving an object is effortless and easy, you simply need to manipulate the space surrounding it.
If only it were that easy. If reality really worked as in B, then we wouldn't have need for wind or water turbines or nuclear reactors because we can spin turbines perpetually by manipulating space.
