Pistols are last resort defensive weapons and using them for proper combat is an action movie fantasy. Even if your EDC were a glock 40 MOS running buffalo bore's best, you would have extremely slim chances against multiple armed attackers shooting from behind distant cover and you would be better off using that distance to shoot a bit to get them to duck, and then get the fuck away before finding out if one of them has a rifle or not.
