I have seen this first hand at a large bank. The scam worked like this:
>Indian senior bank director would bring in a boutique contracting firm they already had ties with to run a so-called “project.”
>The bank paid the firm an inflated fee to supply contractors for the work.
>The firm, in turn, payed out some of the fee money back to the Indian bank director.
>To staff the project, the firm hired three Indian H-1B visa workers.
>Their job was putting an existing data pull into an Excel sheet/slide deck, one day of the month, for the same Indian senior bank director.
