You basically have 19 characters with unique passives divided into three categories (Attack, Support, Tank) with ~15 cards each and 2 main ways to use them. Each run you can use up to four investigators + the protagonist that acts as your Light and card printer. Depending on who you bring she'll also get character-specific cards that play around whatever that teammate's main gimmick is.
