I only hate the PL story. Going through it feels like you're getting lied to and used (like a ranyon). And unlike in the main campaign, you can't really get rid of all the problems - unless you walk away, like Johnny (and the options) tell you to.
So I think that it gives us a dumpster dive into the more cannibal elements of the Cyberpunk world.
>pretty sure the writers are trying to tell us that cyberpunk is not a world we really want to live in even though it looks cool as heck.
Sure, but I think they could give us more types of corruption. The interesting (lewd) stuff is 99% omitted or ruined, but we get to see much of the gore and the war crimes. I want to see biotech created horrors, from elf ears to catgirls to 5th Corporate War sarlacc pits / chimeras, sex slaves and such. I want to see those coomers on the streets as they were in Edgerunners. I want to see more flying vehicles. I want to see gangs humiliate one another, not just kill. I want futa / shemale dancers with bouncy bits, not just gangoons pissing in the streets.
>it's a degenerate corrupt world that we shouldn't manifest it into reality.
There are some good stuff too. Nomads live a hard but good life, there's some good people (like Misty and Viktor, El Capitan, the Buddhist monk), Africa and the space orbitals and colonies seem to be doing fine. The greed is getting a bit boring though, and the gore isn't all that appealing.

The writers can choose if they want to double down on the horror elements of the genre, or if they want to give it more contrast.
I think that just having a squad with likeable characters will uplift the game world a ton.
Even if they'd all die (or worse) and make me cry.
