Who knows. A lot of people thought for a while he'd be Shakky and Rayleigh's son because of his fashion sense and facial hair. This flashback debunked that of course since he'd be about 7 during God Valley and clearly Rayleigh hasn't laid pipe to Shakky yet.

I still think Rayleigh MAY have ties to Mihawk given they're both greatsword users and Mihawk wears floral designs inside his shirt like Rayleigh and styles his chin hair somewhat like Rayleigh. But it seems more likely now that his ties are to Imu and the God Knights. Perhaps Rayleigh trained Mihawk after he left the God Knights and Mihawk switched to Greatswords.
