"Non-stick" pans are just pans with a plastic coating. The plastic melts and prevents things from sticking because the plastic melts into your food instead of the food having a solid surface to stick to. I wish I was making this up. It's so fucking degenerate and retarded. You can thank Julia Child for this. She advertised these "no stick em" pans extensively on her show. People used to just use lard to prevent food from sticking to their pans before her.
