There are plenty of reasons as a martial artist to go to Thailand. The level of training is higher there, the cost of living is lower, the weather is nice and culturally it's a change of pace for an American who's burnt out of the unhealthy culture I'm surrounded by. You mention Muay Thai is a sausage fest, but going to Thailand doesn't change that. Even in Thailand, everyone in the gym is still going to be a bunch of dudes. There's nothing wrong with that, provided you have a life outside of it. In the US, it's hard to have a life outside of training because the cost of living is so high and the general culture isn't forgiving for introverted or isolated men. Thailand does change that dynamic, but I get the impression after having looked beyond the surface that Thailand isn't some fantasy land where every man can just get the woman of his dreams. You can get attractive hookers who will pass you all the diseases she picked up from her previous clients, and if you want a woman who's not part of that scene then they'll be generally more traditional and oriented towards their own men as traditional women usually are. Which eventually leads to the reality that if you want meaningful connection, perhaps it isn't any easier than the west. I've been alone my entire adult life and I'll be honest, it wears on me. So if I want a break from the cultural and economic decay of my own country, to go somewhere that is cheaper, friendlier and has better training in my passion of martial arts, with good weather included then why would I turn that down? I'm not some degenerate that wants to use anyone, or run through a bunch of hoes. I just want one that I can meet over the course of the few months I'll be spending out there
