Ehh, I'll take a look at this and maybe share my thoughts later.
I find that a lot of fan-REtranslation projects just pull out a thesaurus for most of the lines to make it look like more work had to be done than there really was, or they overshoot and miss some nuance that only an official translation (or at least, the ones where the translators are inclose contact with an original dev/writer) can provide.
Outside of some occasional awkwardness with the literalness that the game dub directors wanted at the time versus the sanitation job by 4Kids, I consider the 2000's to be the golden age of Sonic translations.
