QRD on what I've gathered so far on a long autism and caffeine fueled afternoon and evening:
1 - The boomer they arrested was a patsy and has now been released. No suspect has been arrested since.
2 - I'm still trying to confirm it but apparently a private jet took off shortly after the assassination and then turned off it's transponder.
3 - The shot was taken from a high vantage point at a distance of around 120m (400 feet). With a high powered rifle.
4 - Judging by the footage he was dead before he hit the floor. Likely the temporary cavity from the bullet severed his spine or damaged his cerebellum as the shot went through his upper neck about 1 inch under the chin. This tells the shooter was aiming for what is called the fatal triangle ( triangular area between the eyes and the upper lip).
4 - The relative short distance of the shot and the fact that it wasn't a perfect hit tells this was likely a contractor or a politically motivated shooter not a professional assuming a profession would go for a body shot as per military doctrine or wouldn't miss a 400 ft headshot at a stationary with perfect weather, from a vantage point.

Highly irregular for a wartime prime minister to even be paying attention to this, unless... this was a public execution of a dissident.
