Protests don't accomplish anything. People in power need to actually support your position for things to change. In the mind of a leftist, protesting is kind of like doing a rain dance. They protest civil rights, the politicians give them civil rights, their retard brains think their protests caused that to happen. If it is something politicians are actually opposed to, like not sending money to israel, protesting has no effect.
