>the districts are much cleaner now.
Districts 15 and 32 are fucking hilarious though.
District borders should be entirely geographic or based on county borders, not based on "we need to group these people together into one district in order to guarantee a win for one side or the other"
American gerrymandering is so fucking funny. They don't even try to hide the gerrymandering, they make it so blatantly obvious and yet nobody says "wow, this is disgusting." Instead they just say "WTF, no! You have to gerrymander it so that MY side wins more!"
Does it actually make sense to you people for a Republican from suburban Dallas and Cletus from Bumblefuck, TX (population 23) to be put into the same electoral district? Yes, they both vote for Republicans, but they also face different local issues and conditions. A representative isn't supposed to be a rubber stamp with a name on it, whose only purpose is to vote in lockstep with the greater party. They are SUPPOSED to represent their local constituents, and make those constituents' voices heard in government. How can you expect a representative to give equal consideration to the suburbanites and all the Cletuses out there?
