The writer from Rune Soldier Louie didn't want to waste the whole setting Record of Lodoss Wars already paved up, and wrote a bunch of novels about Louie and crew trotting around the kingdoms of the world.
I hope they make something similar with the setting of dungeon meshi in the future.
