I have been here for 3 years, training Ukrainian soldiers, standing beside them in freezing trenches, walking through cities hit hours earlier, and attending Ukrainian funerals where families grieve in a way that stays with you. Even I feel that pain. You cannot witness that and stay unchanged.
You learn very quickly that Ukrainians are not numbers or headlines. They are people fighting for their homes, their families, and the simple right to live.
So when I watch Solovyov melt down on live TV, yelling at his own crew and telling Russians not to pity Ukrainian civilians, it hits hard. It shows exactly how far removed he is from the real cost of this war.
He sits in a warm studio and calls innocent people collateral. Meanwhile, I see those same people holding the line with everything they have. I see soldiers who lost a friend a week before but still show up ready to fight. I see families who lost everything except their hope.
When someone like him tells the world not to care, it is because caring exposes the truth. Russia speaks with cruelty. Ukraine answers with courage. And that courage terrifies them because it is something they cannot break.
Do not let voices like his shape how you see this war. Listen to the people who are here. Listen to the ones who refuse to surrender their country or their dignity.
Stand with Ukraine. Stand with the people who keep fighting when the cameras are gone.
Slava Ukraini. Heroyam slava.
