Speaking of decapitation, I have a fantasy related to it. A woman is placed into a guillotine peril, but before that, she's dressed up as a French noble. They show her the guillotine several days beforehand, and then the whole leadup is just dressing her up for it. Measuring her for a beautiful dress, pampering her, keeping her in a cell that looks like a Rococo bedroom. On the day, taking hours dressing her up and doing her hair and makeup and gushing over her beauty, before leading her out to the predicament.
It's great because she gets ages to stew in the dread of what awaits her. She knows exactly what her new outfit means, and the fact she's going to face her imminent demise as a silly, hyper-dolled up caricature instead of her real self doesn't help her nerves. And the contrast between the horror of what awaits her and the way they treat her would be awful as well. They're sickly-sweet and saccharine but all she can think about is her ultimate fate. As she sits in abject terror awaiting the blade, only hours away, they're still sitting there touching up her makeup like some sort of cutesy porcelain doll. It drives her mad.

Looks like those girls have been through the wringer. They probably weren't even meant to be in this predicament. They just got tied up to get them out of the way, and then everything went to shit and they were caught in a deadly gunfight. And because nobody noticed them long enough to untie them, they're going up in flames with the rest of the evidence. Just awful luck all around.
