i've had the exact same idea, but as a comic book. Had another for a slice of life set in the immediate post-conquest period, focusing on a conquistador and his newly established Encomienda. I really need to learn to draw so i can bring them to fruition.

don't know if that particular specimen ever had any restoration work done on it, but the Nazca did use mineral pigments and polished these things pretty well which (i'm guessing) might've led them to age pretty well.
