It's actually pretty enjoyable this season with some caveats. The whole series is suffering from ideological subversion, with the original book characters having been replaced with the version for "the modern audiences", expanded upon. In fact, the books have no protagonists really, so the protagonists in the series are the creators' idea.
I am not particularly annoyed by the very deliberately chosen races for certain characters (see who maintains the rotten order and who represents hope against the rotten "elites"). What bothers me is the annoying inclusion of transgenders. This season we have seen two alleged women with suspect looks and suspect voices. Another foul trend for the audience to get used to what seems off to anyone naturally. Social engineering and perception moulding disguised as entertainment.
