It;s not edgy jokes that's the problem, it's declaring yourself "the side of empathy and being a Good Fucking Person" when you immediately cheer for murdering the guy whose entire thing was having civil discussions. Or trying to compare killing him in front of his children as the same thing as a fentanyl'd drug addict who pistol whips pregnant women being killed by an overdose.
