while I think the combo system isn't as bad as you say, I do think it gets extremely stale very quickly. I think it's because literally every character is doing the same thing. You go for whatever juggle combo you can, ideally with EX moves, and then you drive rush into a normal off your juggle, then you end with super
it's literally that, for every single character, every single game. Even Marisa is doing that shit. It really does make all the cool flashy stuff you see in DLC trailers get boring after a week or two. But at the same time I think the combo system is robust, what they have has lots of potential, they just kinda do the same thing for each character which sucks
