Hey, this is actually something i know about. I'm a researcher, my reseach is focused on the molecular mechanisms of ageing.
The very short answer is, ageing is a selfe streangthening exponential mechanism with 9 main hallmarks (some argue 14, but they are retarded). And what this guy is doing is trying to optimise neutrition, sport and the like which will basically attack one and a half of the 9 hallmarks. The weakest and most peripheral at that.
As of now we have no way of significantly slowing ageing in humans. We can do some interesting stuff in animals, the best we can do is a 8-9x increase in lifespan in worms, but that only translates to a 20% increase in lifespan for mice.
We need breakthroughs in epigenetic and genetic edditing, specific cell / tissue targeting and protein medicine to significantly increase lifespan. None of these are impossibly or prohibited by any law of physics, and there is some great work being done on all of these fronts, but for now the we are just not there yet.
I'm love very much to sperg out about this stuff, so if you are interested in thespecifics and are willing to endure my autistic rants, feel free to ask anything.
