FFXIV already had literal sci fi stuff yet it still looked like it belonged because it had a fantastical bent to it, it didn't look like anything that would fit in in the real world. The problem is and always has been the devs just taking literal real-world modern stuff and just lazily inserting it into this game without any attempt to make it look fitting for the setting. Try to keep up with the argument, Homestuck.
