Mao STEP 3 Commu Summary - Cliff Notes edition (since a MaoP posted a bunch of summaries for the early commus)
- Mao gets scouted by Juou Ryuusei for 100Pro, where she mistakes him for a stalker
- Mao celebrates with her friends, and the dorm plans a party, but Ryuusei tells P that he'll have stop producing Mao as while he's good, he's just a student. (>>544798576)
- P tells Mao about this, acting happy for her, but Mao gets angry, calls him an idiot in various ways, and runs away
- Mao meets Shion and they talk about Shion's past which renews Mao's resolve (>>544730730)
- Meanwhile P gets a pep talk from Asari who reminds him that Producers share their dreams with their idols
- Mao visits 100Pro and meets Gekka, who's doing a collab project with them. They train a bunch (>>544637603)
- Mao then rejects Ryuusei's scouting, only for P to arrive and take her away
- Mao and P reconcile, but P talks Mao into a plan for her to get into 100Pro while still keeping P

- The two go back to 100Pro and Mao rescinds her rejection and instead lays down a challenge: If Mao wins the HIF, Ryuusei has to acknowledge P and he gets to keep working with her. He accepts
- Timeskip to summer HIF: Mao loses terribly to Sena. But Mao and P accept this, as this was an important step
- Flashback to the day of the challenge. Ryuusei is disappointed in P, as recklessness is not a sign of ability. He knows they stand no chance against Sena in the summer HIF. P and Mao correct him: they're talking about the winter HIF. Both Mao and P know that she isn't ready to win against Sena yet. Ryuusei is shocked but intrigued
- At the party, which has become a "ostukare Mao and Rinami party", Mao puts up a brave face (Saki sees through it) but she's internally devastated that she lost, even though she expected it and cries in the kitchen and Rinami comforts and cries with her.
- timeskip. Mao challenges Sena, saying she'll be the prince who takes her from her tower. P and Mao renew their convictions.
