My spicy take, they should partially keep RE in the next SC. Specifically, the defensive stance that deflects shit. Remove the RPS minigame that takes way too long for minimal interaction, have it just do an attack that gives a chunk of damage and maybe a knockdown, and make it lose to throws. Maybe let people choose to cancel it into a backstep after deflecting.
The idea of an anti-mash defensive option that drops off in utility at higher levels is helpful in a weapons-based 3D fightan where mid/low mixups are very accessible and attacks have longer range. Good tool to help noobies deal with brainless mashers. Even at higher levels, it contributes to the meta by introducing RE-safety as a meaningful move property to give attacks different niches, which is nice for 3D fightan with huge move pools.
