If you're brand new just play the remakes honestly. The old ones are still good but they are obviously designed with old game philosophies in mind so can be tedious for a lot of new players. If you're still interested in the originals I would play RE1 Remake so you get a more "modern" spin on the old formula but it doesn't look and feel like ass to play.
