sorry, but most crops and livestock are non-native and we don't care because it was before our time. domesticated organisms for industry/consumption should not be held to the same standard as useless ornamentals. it's not like we're doing the ecosystem any favors in the countries we delegate our farming to. i don't really care if native american plums are displaced in the wild if i can get a low-effort bumper crop that's cheaper and better than anything in stores, because if i can do it then everyone can do it so it will be considered naturalized in 10 years anyway.
