replying to myself here, sorry i couldn't more aptly describe what i meant.
here's some references to what i was thinking of, not a .308, it was a palm pistol. notice the:
1. absence of the thumb of the man in the green shirt.
2. the black circle or muzzle between the middle and ring fingers.
3. the slight recoil or jumpback upon the exact noise of the shot happening (audio can be found in the streamable link in my first post i'm replying to).
