It's just weird to me because it sounds like people think this game literally didn't exist before mods, or that if it loses some players it will suddenly cease to exist.
Honestly if everyone winds up being correct and this, by some stroke of miracle actually does kill the game, that is an acceptable outcome. If this game needs the mare gooner audience just to survive, then it shouldn't survive.
