I don't know if he himself was jewish. Pretty certain he wasn't born jewish anyway, but his wife was a jew, and his whole shock image revolved around mocking Christianity in general like the sort of thing which a jew would. So he may well have been a crypto-jew convert or something. Otherwise he was just some atheist who at the very least had a negative view of Christianity and shared the hatred jews have for it even if he wasn't actually one himself.
