I said
>people want to play a game designed more around an alternate version of the old philosophy for an IP that has changed radically over time
This is the main reason why I understand the sentiment, I am simply explaining why people feel that way and I'm trying to be as reasonable as possible with you. Didn't say I myself want it to happen or that I think it would be a good idea. Anyway yes you can go play Destiny 1, but it ended and will never get more support, it will never get more content that is fitting to the game as is.
The only way you can get "more" destiny 1 is to play destiny 2, but destiny 2 sucks and is lame yet is still destiny so it's all destiny fans have if they want to do new stuff in destiny. It's why many older versions of games popped up in the past decade and a lot of IPs have tried to go back to their roots or whatever. The IP changes too much, becomes lame and people wanna go back and have the devs soft restart development from a more ideal patch, or to try and re-establish the identity it once had.
