to add to this yeah you should not be genning at giant base resolutions.
You run highres fix (I keep it under 1.5 usually) with adetailer for faces/eyes/hands optionally, and if you really want to be fancy one more image2image tiled upscale with low denoise at another 1.5

We were talking about the same thing then. I took the square for an easy exemple.
I've tried all the others sizes but i always get better result when i use ≈36% bigger than the recommended.
And again, the deformation only happen after the upscaler.
