Does grimdark become "boring" or is it just that everything with that trend is poorly executed and paced.
Say something like game of thrones(tv series) vs compared to like beserk, eva, or deathnote.
The story still takes itself seriously with the overarching plot of edda and some minor recurring characters, yes this includes the giraffe(lizzie) or Li. But imo, the story doesn't take its overall narratives and plot points seriously enough really when others like Ye, Kegaard, the coyotes, Rozan and etc exist.
i will await the revamp of the prologue to make a better decision, but i still hold that judgement unless there are "conclusions" to them really.
