They can gain new primitive beliefs and not even notice in the matter of seconds, totally changing their view or reality to match whatever keeps the original delusion alive.
This is because having a primitive belief shattered and dismantled is soul crushing.
Imagine if someone had proof your parents are not your parents and that your entire life up to today was a lie, with nothing but falsely implanted memories.
That's what it's like for a schizo when you tell them their delusion is not real.
That's why they always tell the story of their delusion and can't be reasoned with regarding their primitive beliefs. They've trapped themselves into believing a lie because the truth is too much for them.
