You turn towards the remaining army. The bots, you have no issue smashing. But there are still plenty of Commandramon who have lost their fighting spirit. Your old acquaintance is standing there, wounded, with no other avenue for escape. With how powerful your partner has become, it would be child's play to kill them all. But this newly acquired power makes you feel doubt. You look at the expression on Astamon's face, and can tell that he's feeling the same thing.

He wants to be a leader who pulls others out of their dire straits and upholds peace through overwhelming strength. Slaughtering the helpless is something that he's always been against, and now that he's THIS strong, they fit the bill. Even if they were enemies earlier. Hunting down foes is one thing, but this will be an execution, not a battle.

"Marnie, you have to do it. Kaus Gammamon can't fight anymore." He says.

"Is there... No other option?" Astamon asks.

"No, we can't take care of so many of them! The moment they exit the jamming range, the GPS comes back on, and then we lose everything."

"Not we. You."

"... What?"

"Marnie and I aren't that much worse off without this base."

"You can't be serious. They killed Lenny! They killed dozens of us! We can't just let them go!"

You look towards Squid, wondering if she has some kind of magical code-cracker fix. She just lowers her head to avoid your gaze and shakes her head. That's it, then. You need Astamon to raise his gun and mow down the entire horde of Commandramon, including your one-time ally. It'd remind him of his own experience with that Gazimon, who crushed babies like they were nothing more than bots in his way. How could he live with himself if he had to transform into the object of his own hatred?

"... Sorry. He's not doing it."

Astamon sighs in relief. Even with this immensely powerful form, even when he's towering above all of you with his sheer strength, he's still your partner, and your opinion means much to him. If you had decided to throw everything away in pursuit of this power, including leaving Liza to her fate, maybe you would have been callous enough to do this. But now, you're both committed to acting in a manner you can be proud of.

Which, unfortunately, leaves your two sides at a stalemate.
