I've been struggling with this issue since I was five years old, and this year I finally decided to sit down with a therapist to get a second opinion. I've had two one-hour sessions, and at the start of the second session earlier today, she said she's formally diagnosing me with gender dysphoria. Am I retarded or does that seem way too fast? I basically explained to her how I feel like I'd like to be female like 50% of the time when I'm thinking about my gender (which is very rarely), and 100% of the time when I'm aroused. I'm very confident that I'm AG - whether or not that's pseudoscience, its description does describe my experience very well. I feel like that should disqualify me from being actually dysphoric. I'm 26 now.
