Wind Waker was basically an attempt at a massive open world game with actually decent visuals at a time where it was just baaaaaaaaaaarely possible on consoles and the dev team ended up getting fucked over by a rushed development cycle. Honestly I feel like giving the concept the BotW treatment would be the best way to bring it to its full potential. Just you know, more dungeons. Would be kino of the highest order if they just said fuck it and brought the art style back but used modern hardware to render it in better frames, with more effects, and details that never got too busy so as to take away from the charm. A man can dream though, a man can dream.
