I watched the Marigold event for the first time in a while.
When Marigold first kicked off Nao was my oshi, I loved her doppelganger match she had with Tam Nakano. She seems pretty cooled off now. This hard-bodied masked Hummingbird chick has a ton of potential, it felt like she's not being challenged in the low card, she needs to get off the bunny slopes.
Maria from Marvelous has some kind of delinquent youth gimmick now? I'm not mad at it. Her arms and shoulders looked huge. Rea Sato always looks scared to me. She feels like she's always in over her head and it's interesting to see how she rises to the challenge.
Misa Matsui is definitely my new oshi. She came out of Act Res Girlz and got way out of her comfort zone and took on a major challenge in trying to find an identity and aesthetic for Marigold's heel faction. She's got this playful Trickster vibe, with a ton of confidence and room to grow. I saw her white belt match with Mai Sakurai and was incredibly impressed, the bitch is tough as nails. Chiaki reminds me of Kagetsu, and I really dug the little dance number they did to start off the match, it reminded me of old school Oedo Tai.
Megaton is a mega-babyface, I can't believe how much the bald uncs seem to eat up everything that she does. I hope Misa Matsui bullies her forever.
Chiaki's gear is barely holding on, she's bursting out of it! Kouki has some great abs now, didn't she just get over a serious injury? These two may have hit their ceiling in-ring but it probably doesn't matter.
MIRAI seems to me like someone who would heem the entire roster if they ever fought in MMA. She's always been a joshi version of Bret Hart, she can perfectly push her dance partners right up to their limit, whatever it may be. She's an extraordinarily valuable member of the roster.
This chick in the green red and black was selling her ass off, and she's visual af, she's one to watch, maybe I should learn her name.
