It could be possible that this game has some form of collectibles you can get similar to Trophies. We see in game that you do win money by doing City Trial and Racing, so I imagine that like previous Kirby games this game will have some form of collectibles you can get. Gotta give kids something you can do to keep them engaged with the game when they are just playing solo.
