Finished the tutorial and sent a vanilla colony to space.

How do you go about tackling the DLCs? I installed them all at once and I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the new options for starting a new colony. Does selecting the scenario impact which DLCs I can interact with for the playthrough? I want to try a smaller colony for my 2nd playthrough and the vanilla "Rich Explorer" scenario seems up my alley, but I don't want to be locked out of DLC content (which I am blind to).
