That article scared the shit out of me because of the numbers. It said about 20% of the 500k people in New Orleans stayed post-Katrina, and that was mostly blacks and mostly poor. And then it took a few thousands guardmen over several weeks to reclaim the city.

I live in NYC and we have 8.5 million people, of that 2 million are black. If Mamdani wins the election, he will openly defund the police and allow crime to run wild. If we have a societal collapse after that, like with a hurricane or BLM riots, there will be a lot of marauders doing whatever they want. We'd literally need the fucking Army here to restore order.

I'm glad Trump is back, but part of me thinks there is nothing he or anyone can do to stop the eventual descent into civil war. And a big part of that will be a race war.
