You're in every character you make and play. There's no way to completely disassociate yourself from the decision you make for that character or the tiniest inclinations that pile up into the extrapolation of their personalities.

Just don't do voices. This isn't community theater. Tell them if the NPC has a weird accent or something then just talk normally or in the third person by summarizing what they said instead of going word for word.
