All the dialogue in the game is stored in language files, each having a name to dictate what the dialogue is about. "01_map_whitespace" or "dreamworld_npc_dialogue_sweetheart" for example. Lots of these files even have notes left by the devs either explaining a conversation they'd write down later or giving details about context that may or may not still apply.
One of those files is named "faraway_conditional". All the text inside is unused, but the contents of it and the dev notes written inside imply dialogue and scenes in Headspace were supposed to change if you went outside. To show how Sunny's dreams were affected by his new experiences.
I personally think this was cut because they were running out of time and decided this wasn't so important to make it in. This concept only having one big scene change, one new scene, and some miscellaneous text changes is what makes me think that.
